The music search is not an exhaustive list. We can add any song that you wish. You can also share a Spotify list with us and use that for your request list. I recommend that you don’t try to request every song. The DJ needs some freedom to experiement with your crowd and play music that keeps people dancing.
Not only are we here to assist you in selecting music for your wedding and reception, but DJ Rick and our team can also help with crafting your event timeline and attending to various details that enhance the overall enjoyment for your guests. While we don’t claim to be wedding planners, we can certainly provide valuable advice on ensuring that your reception flows seamlessly. With years of experience supporting countless weddings, we have a keen understanding of the typical duration for various segments, such as the ceremony, dinner, toasts, cake cutting, garter toss, bouquet toss, and special dances. Moreover, after discussing your preferences with you, we can often gauge how long the dancing portion will last.
Several factors come into play when considering the timing, including the time of day for the reception, weather conditions (especially for outdoor events), the number of attendees, the presence of an open bar, the couple’s dancing frequency, and the weekend dance habits of their friends.
Furthermore, we’re happy to offer insights that can steer you towards creating a ceremony and reception atmosphere that resonates positively with everyone in attendance.
During our consultation, we aim to help you determine the appropriate duration for your reception package. Typically, I recommend starting with a minimum of 4 hours and remaining flexible to extend if necessary.
We offer phone or Facetime consulting prior to your wedding. Also, we provide a detailed online planning tool for you to customize your ceremony and reception so you wishes are communicated.
Once you book your day with us, we will send a link with your online planning tools. access. You will be able to login using your username and password and update anytime. Updates made 48 hours or less need to be verified with the DJ so please call or message so are fully prepared for your day.
